Fancy Folk Art...

Good morning! Papertrey Ink is back with our second group post to introduce another new stamp set coming out on the 15th called Fancy Folk Art. What a fun set, I really enjoyed this one.

We were to choose an image to inspire us before we started, so I found this little image on google. It seems as though folk art color schemes typically use reds, yellows, blues, oranges and greens.
Using my inspiration piece above, I made a card set. One card is stamped onto white cardstock with a creme background, and one is stamped on cream cardstock with a white background. I think I like how the stamping looks on the cream one the best, and it looks more like my inspiration piece above. What do you think?

Everything is stamped in layers, so first you stamp the whole outline image, then the green leaves are all one piece, then you fill in the flowers with the smaller stamps.
I kept with primary colors like the inspiration piece. True Black ink is used for the sentiment.
Last I made a little tag with the Half & Half dies and the Fancy Folk Art stamps. I added some Melissa Frances pearls and edged the tag with Vintage Cream ink.

Fancy Folk Art will be available on the 15th at PapertreyInk.com. Visit the rest of the team to see more!

I agree - I like the stamping on the cream with the white card base. But they're both beautiful cards!
