Embroidered Blooms...

Welcome back to another Papertrey Ink countdown. We are so excited to show you a few new stamp sets coming out this month. Today we're featuring Embroidered Blooms and Ribbons & Bows. My first card uses the Embroidered Blooms on the leaves/stems and the sentiment. It's a 2 part stamping on the flowers and leaves in the set, and those are becoming my favorite type of stamps - the layered look you can achieve is amazing!

I used Sweet Blush ink first and then the tips of the leaves are stamped in red, Pure Poppy. It's one big stamp, so it's easy to line up with the first one. This set coordinates with the Turning a New Leaf dies also - a favorite of many people!

The frames were fun to work with! These are the new Mat Stack 6 dies. I cut the center of the frame with white cardstock and the outer 2 layers of the frame with Soft Stone cardstock. The outside layer was then stamped with Background Basics: Newsprint. See how if you cut the 2 inside frames at the same time, you get the skinny border like I have? So many cutting possibilities with these.

The hearts are all from Framed Out #11 (stamps and nested heart die). The polkadot paper is Smokey Shadow Pattern Pack, the border is the Filigree Border. I scrunched up a small bit of seam binding and stitched it together. I didn't want a huge bow to take over the small details on my card.

Thanks So Much card:
STAMPS: Embroidered Blooms, Background Basics: Newsprint
INK: True Black, Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy
PAPER: Smokey Shadow Pattern Pack, Sweet Blush/white/Soft Stone cardstock, Linen Vellum
DIES: Mat Stack 6 (frames), Framed Out #11 (hearts), Filigree Border
OTHER: seam binding, pearl, My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Ruby Enamel Dots.

One more! This one uses Embroidered Blooms flowers with the new Ribbons & Bows set. I stamped the bow in New Leaf, then the flowers using Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, Melon Berry and Soft Stone. A "celebrate" sentiment was used from Ribbons & Bows and "you" is from Embroidered Blooms.

Only one flower is stamped red to draw your eye right to the saying. I love the font! After stamping, the whole piece of cardstock was run through the Cuttlebug with a Simple Strips Impression Plate to create the raised lines in the white cardstock and add dimension.
This card just makes me happy! Hmm....who to send it to...
